JULIE ABOU NOHRA, Regional Vice President of Revenue Management, The Americas, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group

Julie is the Regional Vice President of Revenue Management, The Americas at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. She joined in 2015 and is responsible for all revenue strategies, processes, and distribution channels that ensures continuous market share and profit growth.

Julie previously spent 15 years with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel company where she held several corporate and regional revenue management positions with her last role being the Regional Director of Revenue Management, responsible for The Ritz-Carlton, Bulgari and Edition brands in Europe, Middle East & Africa.

Julie holds a BA in Civil Engineering from the American University of Beirut and a BA in Hotel Management from Cesar Ritz Colleges in Switzerland. Julie currently lives in Washington DC and her interests include yoga, spinning, travelling and is an avid foodie.

DR. CHRIS ANDERSON, Academic Director, Cornell University

Chris is an associate professor at the Cornell School of Hotel Administration. Prior to his appointment in 2006, he was on faculty at the Ivey School of Business in London, Ontario Canada. His main research focus is on revenue management and service pricing. He actively works with industry, across numerous industry types, in the application and development of RM, having worked with a variety of hotels, airlines, rental car and tour companies as well as numerous consumer packaged goods and financial services firms. His research has been funded by numerous governmental agencies and industrial partners and he serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Revenue and Pricing Management and is the regional editor for the International Journal of Revenue Management. At the School of Hotel Administration, he teaches courses in revenue management and service operations management. He is a member of the HSMAI Americas Revenue Optimization Advisory Board.

VERONICA ANDREWS, CRME, Director, Digital Data Solutions, STR

Veronica provides analytical and end-user perspectives in the development of new STR data products. She is also responsible for designing and delivering product training to meet internal and external customer needs. Veronica has over 20 years of revenue management experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining STR, Veronica’s experience included property and above property leadership in both major brand and independent arenas, and across a wide breadth of property types and locations. Veronica serves on the HSMAI Revenue Optimization Advisory Board, is a Certified Revenue Management Executive (CRME), and an active member of the AH&LA Food and Beverage Committee.

DR. JEFFREY BECK, Associate Professor, Michigan State University

Jeff Beck has over 20 years of experience in the lodging industry. His industry experience includes 10 years with Marriott Hotels, Resorts, and Suites in various management positions. In 1989, Beck was on the opening management team of the San Francisco Marriott, a 1500-room convention hotel. He was honored with the Director of Services of the Year award, Northwest Region, for his outstanding performance and achievements. He later moved to the Marriott regional office in San Ramon, California as a TQM Facilitator where he worked with the 17 hotel executive committees in the Northwest Region to develop strategic initiatives for each hotel.

He has presented continuing education seminars to industry professionals sponsored by the Hilton School of Hotel and Restaurant Administration, University of Houston. He received his doctorate from Purdue University where he also taught Meeting and Convention Management, Guest Service Management and Lodging Management. At Oklahoma State University he was the Charles Lanphere Professor of Hotel Administration, recognized twice as Outstanding Undergraduate Advisor. He has written several research articles and is currently chair of the Scientific Paper Review Committee of the International Council of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Educators. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, and his Master’s degree from Purdue University.

MICHAEL BENNETT, SVP Global Marketing, Cendyn

Michael oversees global marketing, sales development and events at Cendyn. He has over 23 years of international management experience, working with companies such as White Lodging, KSL, Knight-Ridder, The Nature Conservancy and Kodak. His specialties lie in marketing, ecommerce/digital and mobile implementations, all with a proven track record of success. Michael focuses on managing with an emphasis on profitable growth through an increase in CLV, while constantly reiterating that creative marketing is only successful when held accountable to the results it produces. He is a former member of HSMAI’s Marketing Advisory Board. Michael leads the Cendyn San Diego office, where he currently resides with his wife and two beautiful daughters.

DR. KATERINA BEREZINA, CRME, Assistant Professor, The University of Mississippi

Katerina Berezina, PhD, CHTP, CRME, CHIA, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Hospitality Management (NHM) at the University of Mississippi. Katerina’s research interests are in the areas of information technology in hospitality and tourism, electronic distribution, and revenue management. She serves as the Managing Editor of the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology (JHTT). Katerina is also a coordinator of two university programs that integrate real-life hotel software into the hospitality curriculum: innRoad University Program and M3 Link University Program.

VIVEK BHOGARAJU, Director, Revenue Management Solutions, Expedia Group

Vivek Bhogaraju drives the vision for revenue management solutions at Expedia Group with the goal to increase the revenue performance for Expedia’s hotel partners globally. This entails creating strategic partnerships, thought leadership and collaborating cross-functionally with ‘the best team in travel’ to accelerate the adoption of Expedia’s revenue management solutions. Vivek is based in Geneva, Switzerland.

Prior to his current role, Vivek was the Director of Global Strategic Alliances & Initiatives at IDeaS – A SAS COMPANY where he was responsible for the global partner ecosystem and identifying organic and inorganic growth opportunities. Vivek began his career in hospitality and travel with Oberoi Hotels & Resorts with management roles in Rooms Division and Food and Beverage operations.

Vivek completed the Masters in Management in Hospitality degree from the School of Hotel Administration, Cornell University and his Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration from the Welcomgroup Graduate School. In addition, he has completed programs in Strategic Alliances and Management at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and in Strategic Change & Growth at the Columbia Business School.

SUNNY BREWER, Senior Director, Ashford Inc.

Sunny Brewer is Sr. Director of Revenue Optimization for Ashford Inc, which she joined in 2018 and is a key member of the Ashford Revenue Optimization and Asset Management leadership team supporting all things topline (revenue management, distribution, sales, and digital marketing) for Ashford Hospitality Trust (ticker: AHT) and Braemar Hotels and Resorts (ticker: BHR).

Prior to joining Ashford, Inc., Ms. Brewer spent 12 years with Dallas based hotel management company, Texas Western Hospitality, serving most recently as Vice President of Revenue Optimization. She was directly responsible for revenue strategy, implementation, and oversight of all revenue generation efforts for Texas Western Hospitality’s portfolio of 36 hotels. Her key areas of responsibility included revenue management, channel optimization, and digital marketing. She has a strong history building effective teams, nurturing talent, and providing leadership to drive superior results. During her tenure she held various positions within the company in operations, revenue management and eCommerce. Texas Western Hospitality also was nominated and recognized as the Marriott’s ELITE Revenue Management Team of the Year – Franchise (2017).

Ms. Brewer graduated from University of Texas – Arlington with a degree in Business Administration.

TOM BUOY, CRME, EVP Pricing and Revenue Optimization, Extended Stay America

Tom is responsible for driving Extended Stay Hotels’ Pricing and Revenue Optimization strategic vision and for maximizing overall hotel revenues, providing strategic leadership with emphasis on knowledge sharing, innovation, empowerment, and co-teaming. Prior to joining ESH, he was SVP of customer marketing and revenue management for Morgans Hotel Group (formerly known as Ian Schrager Hotels). Before MHG, he worked at Ernst & Young in their Hospitality Consulting practice. Tom holds a Masters of Professional Studies in Hospitality Management from Cornell University and a Bachelors of Science, Magna Cum Laude, in Psychology and Business from Ithaca College. Tom has been a guest speaker at HITEC, BizBash, Ad Tech, as well as at various Revenue Management conferences, New York and Columbia Universities and the Australian International Hotel School.

SHAWN DUBRAVAC, PhD, CFA, President, Avrio Institute

KIM GAUTHIER, Senior Vice President, hotelAVE

Kim Gauthier, Senior Vice President, has more than 20 years of experience driving hotel performance and asset value to achieve superior returns over multiple investment cycles. Ms. Gauthier works with her team and leverages her expertise to develop and execute asset management plans that result in value creation opportunities. She proactively works with the property management teams to achieve and exceed performance objectives, including RevPAR penetration targets and operating budget results.

Prior to hotelAVE, Ms. Gauthier served as Vice President of Asset Management at Thayer Lodging, Brookfield Hotel Properties. At Thayer, she was most recently responsible for asset managing seven hotels representing $300 million of asset value. She successfully asset managed over 20 hotels during her 19 year tenure, having earned the reputation of handling the firm’s most challenging assets. She also led the conversion and management of franchise contract negotiation (including credit enhancements) for multiple properties, including the conversion of the Wyndham Miami Airport to Sheraton and the conversion of the Palomar Dallas to the country’s first Curio Collection hotel. Ms. Gauthier negotiated and documented loan modifications and purchase and sale agreements, ran diligence processes, finalized closing statements and effectively transitioned new management and owners for numerous properties. While at Thayer, she also served as Vice President of Acquisitions and Corporate Controller.

Ms. Gauthier is a Certified Hotel Asset Manager (CHAM), a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA), a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a long standing member of the Hospitality Asset Managers Association (HAMA) and current board member. She also serves on the American Hotel & Lodging Association Financial Management Committee where she helped rewrite and publish the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry, 11th Edition. Ms. Gauthier received her Master of Business Administration from Loyola College and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mary Washington College with her Bachelor of Science.

MONTE GARDINER, Managing Director, Revenue Management Services, Best Western Hotels & Resorts

As the leader of Best Western’s Revenue Management team, Monte manages a team of revenue management professionals whose mission is to achieve industry-leading RevPAR. The team serves a growing portfolio of brands with over two thousand hotels in North America, and also provides support services to Best Western affiliates outside of North America. Monte’s passion is data analytics and the effective use of data in decision-making. In previous roles at Best Western, Monte had responsibility for the Best Western Rewards program, achieving record levels of rewards member penetration and successfully launching Best Western’s new co-branded credit card program. Prior to joining Best Western, Monte managed the US Airways Dividend Miles program and the US Airways Club, where he developed innovative, industry-leading programs and partnerships that achieved unprecedented levels of ancillary revenue.

CINDY ESTIS GREEN, CEO and Co-founder, Kalibri Labs

Cindy’s career began in corporate marketing and senior operations roles for Hilton International. After starting up the data mining and analytics firm, Driving Revenue, and selling it to Pegasus Solutions, Cindy spent twelve years as managing partner of The Estis Group providing strategic marketing consulting to the hospitality industry. Co-author of the 2012 Distribution Channel Analysis: A Guide for Hotels and over a dozen other industry publications on the topic of marketing technology, Cindy has been honored as one of the 25 Extraordinary Minds in Sales and Marketing, was inducted into the prestigious Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame and named as one of Cornell University’s 90 Influential Hotelies. She is currently a member of the HITEC Advisory Council, the HSMAI Foundation Board of Trustees, leads the AH&LA Consumer Innovation Forum and the HSMAI Resort Best Practices Initiative and holds a board seat for The Knowland Group. She launched Kalibri Labs in 2012 offering the hospitality industry data analytics to evaluate net revenue performance and manage the rising cost of customer acquisition. DR. GABOR FORGACS, Professor, Ryerson University

Dr. Forgacs has twenty years work experience in the hotel industry on two continents including a management position at a Four Seasons hotel (The Inn on the Park) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and the position of president and general manager of a full service hotel in Budapest, Hungary. A textbook author of an internationally acclaimed book on revenue management, published by the AHLEI in 50+ countries. who also publishes articles in the electronic media. Gabor conducts revenue management strategy workshops for global hotel brands and teaches at the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada since 1997. He is frequently quoted and interviewed by the Canadian media.

JUDI HOLLER, keynote speaker, author, and professionally trained improviser and alumni of The Second City’s Conservatory

DR. WARREN JAHN, CRME, Head, Global Operations Training, Americas Learning Delivery, IHG, and past chair of HSMAI’s Revenue Management Advisory Board

Warren is Head of Global Operations Training – for the America’s Learning team of InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG).

Warren leads a remote-based team of senior training consultants who conduct field-based and virtual training workshops in the areas of hotel quality, food and beverage, revenue management, sales, systems, and leadership for all IHG affiliated properties and brands in the Americas region. He has also been an adjunct professor in numerous hospitality and tourism management programs. He was chairman of the HSMAI Revenue Management Special Interest Group advisory board (2010) and has served HSMAI as a member of the revenue management sub-committee assisting in the development of the Certified Revenue Management Executive (CRME) program.

Warren has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry which began with his first job at a fast food chain. He joined IHG in 2007 as a revenue management training consultant in the Global Revenue Management department where he worked to develop training and support materials. He has a strong passion for hospitality research and education. Warren has written numerous industry publications, and was recognized as a “Young Trainer to Watch” by Training Magazine (2012).

He earned both his undergraduate and masters degree’s from the University of South Carolina, and doctorate from The University of Tennessee.

When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his two boys (ages 7 and 16), watching USC Gamecock sports, collecting comic books, and working in his yard.

ERICH JANKOWSKI, Vice President of Revenue Management, Host Hotels & Resorts

Erich Jankowski is the Vice President of Revenue Management at Host Hotels & Resorts, the largest lodging real estate investment trust (NYSE: HST). Mr. Jankowski has over 20 years of hotel and revenue management experience. In his role, he provides strategic leadership to over 100 hotels globally. He is focused on revenue generation and execution across all segments to achieve best-in-class RevPAR penetration and optimal performance as well as reducing customer acquisition costs for Host’s portfolio. Prior to joining Host, Mr. Jankowski held numerous roles in operations and revenue management with Marriott International. He serves on several industry and education advisory boards including Marriott’s Distribution Advisory Council and the AH&LA Customer Innovation Council.

KATE KEISLING, Senior Product Manager, IDeaS

Kate is a Senior Product Manager with IDeaS and is currently responsible for Meetings & Events solutions. She has more than 25 years of experience working in the hospitality industry and during that time has gained deep domain knowledge about meetings & events sales and operations. Kate joined IDeaS in 2011 to lead a Function Space Revenue Management initiative. Her experience researching the unique challenges of management as well as front-line users in event and hotel operations across the world is now helping her to design unique and compelling solutions for IDeaS’ current and future clients. Prior to joining IDeaS, she spent 14 years at Newmarket International, which is now Amadeus Hospitality.

MICHAEL LAU, CRME, CHBA, Regional Director of Revenue Management, Accor

As a Regional Director of Revenue Management for Accor Hotels, Michael has successfully worked to focus the hotel teams on building an RM culture to generate measurable profits across all revenue streams. To support this focus, he helped Accor launch “Total Hotel Profit Optimization (THPO)” with strategic initiatives in food & beverage (FB), spa, golf and housekeeping, as well as “Restaurant Revenue Management (RRM)” partnership and Function Space RM (FSRM). The RRM partnership between RM and FB functions applies strategies taken from room RM to FB, introducing metrics such as Revpash (Revenue per available seat hour) to create action plans to target different demand periods, and FSRM forecasts in day parts to help the team make informative decisions on group and catering opportunities. Michael is a founding member and past president of the HSMAI British Columbia Chapter and was a recipient of the 2015 HSMAI Leadership Award at the annual HSMAI Mike Leven Leadership Conference. In 2016, Michael was recognized as one of the Top 25 Extraordinary minds in Hospitality Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Optimization.

ROY MADHOK, VP of Revenue Management, Real Hospitality Group

Roy Madhok is the Vice President of Revenue Management for Real Hospitality Group overseeing a portfolio of over 90 hotels. Prior to join Real Hospitality Group, Roy was the Regional Director of Revenue for Highgate’s 10 New England and Puerto Rico hotels. He also served as an Adjunct Professor at Boston University’s School of Hospitality teaching Introductory Revenue Management and Advanced Revenue Management courses. Roy has extended his enthusiasm for revenue management as a speaker at the Expedia Partner Conference, a guest lecturer on revenue and distribution in Paris, and has held a restaurant revenue analysis role in Sydney, Australia.

PAUL MURRAY, Vice President Hospitality Practice, Revenue Analytics

Paul Murray is VP, Hospitality Practice for Revenue Analytics. In this role, Paul leads hospitality client engagements by delivering bespoke analytical solutions and strategic revenue capabilities across large hotel chains.

Paul formerly served as SVP, Revenue Management at MGM Resorts and oversaw Revenue Management, Distribution, Group Optimization, and Event Pricing functions.

Previously, Paul was VP, Revenue Management at Hyatt Hotels Corporation, where he drove global strategic vision in revenue optimization by building industry-leading Revenue Management technologies, pricing capabilities, and BI solutions.

Prior to Hyatt, Paul was Senior Director of Revenue Analysis at Hilton, where he led global technology and analytics across Revenue Management, Sales, and Online Travel Agent teams.

SHARON PAINE, VP, Revenue Management, IHG

Sharon Paine is VP, Revenue Management for IHG, which she joined last year after 13 years at Choice Hotels International. When she first joined Choice as a Senior Director in the Corporate Strategy department, she saw the opportunity to introduce revenue management strategies to drive property level performance. Ultimately she established a revenue management department for the company, developing tools, systems, and processes to drive revenue in Choice Hotels’ 6400 hotels and 11 brands. Previous to her work at Choice, Sharon worked in business consulting for BearingPoint and Andersen and in IT for Verizon. She has a degree in Computer Science from Manchester University, UK.

TIM PETER, President, Tim Peter & Associates

Tim Peter is an award-winning hospitality marketing executive with more than 20 years of experience developing successful, cutting-edge e-commerce and digital marketing programs. Prior to founding Tim Peter & Associates, a full-service e-commerce and internet marketing consulting firm in early 2011, Tim worked with the world’s largest hotel franchisor and the world’s premier independent luxury hotel representation firm to help hotels and resorts across diverse segments achieve billions of dollars of online revenue.

Tim’s writings have appeared in many trade publications, and his blog, “”Tim Peter Thinks,”” attracts a large following each month. He writes a column for Hotel News Now and frequently comments on Internet marketing and e-commerce topics in publications, including the New York Post, Hotel Executive, Hotel Management and Hotel News Now. He is a 2017 recipient of HSMAI’s “Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Hospitality Sales, Makrketing, and Revenue Optimization” award. His first book is due out in 2019.

An in-demand speaker, Tim has presented to global audiences in public and private events. He teaches courses in digital marketing strategy and operations for Rutgers Business School and New York University’s School of Professional Studies. He is also the author of multiple white papers, including “Digital Hotel Marketing in a Multiscreen World,” “When More is More: Upselling as a Sales & Marketing Tactic,” and “Engaging Online Travel Shoppers Through Integrated Marketing.”

KAREN RAPLEY, Vice President of Revenue Strategy, Pebblebrook Hotel Trust

Karen Rapley is Vice President of Revenue Strategy for Pebblebrook Hotel Trust based in Bethesda, MD and provides revenue management oversight and support for the REIT’s sixty full service hotels. Karen has 30 years in the hospitality industry with 20+ years focused in Revenue Management. She began her career with Hilton working in corporate owned and managed hotels in the rooms division before moving to revenue management in the mid-1990s when Hilton created its revenue management division. Karen moved into a corporate revenue management role working as a Regional Director of Revenue Management for Interstate Hotels and Resorts and Davidson Hotels and Resorts before joining Pebblebrook in 2015. Karen is a graduate of Cornell University School of Hotel Administration.

DR. TONI REPETTI, Assistant Professor & Program Director, Master of Hospitality Administration Harrah College of Hospitality, University of Nevada, Las Vegas

Toni Repetti, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor for undergraduate and graduate finance, accounting, and gaming courses in the William F. Harrah College of Hospitality at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She also holds the role of Director of the Master of Hospitality Administration program, the college’s fully online master’s degree. She has been teaching at UNLV since 2012 after a year as the University of Central Florida as an Assistant Professor. In addition to UNLV courses, Dr. Repetti also teaches online courses and seminars for UNLV’s Professional & Leadership Studies. Dr. Repetti has extensive industry experience, with over 22 years of experience in all areas of integrated resorts operations and 19 years in Finance and Accounting.

She has held positions with various levels of responsibility in finance from Analyst to Corporate Director of Finance for numerous properties. Toni Repetti’s research interests are in managerial finance, revenue and profit management, and operations with an emphasis on the effect management decisions have on revenue and net income.

DAVE ROBERTS, Professor, Virginia Tech

Currently a professor for Virginia Tech, Dave Roberts retired in March 2019 from Marriott International in the role of SVP, Revenue Strategy and Solutions where he was responsible for revenue management strategy and execution, for all hotels worldwide, across all brands. He also led revenue analytics, providing top line analysis for the company, as well as impact assessment of sales & marketing activities. Finally, he was responsible for sales systems, providing strategy, development, and deployment of technology to drive and manage group business at Marriott hotels. Over the years, Dave served in a number of other roles at the company, including Regional Vice President of Market Strategy, Vice President of Global Pricing, and more.

Prior to Marriott, Dave worked on airplane purchases and route economics for American Airlines, and served as a technical consultant on missile defense for the Pentagon as part of the “Star Wars” initiative). He has a B.S. and an M.S. in Operations Research from Cornell, and an MBA with a major in Economics from Northwestern’s Kellogg School. He holds a U.S. Patent on a software product, and has published several academic papers on such topics as forecasting, options pricing, and customer choice modeling.

In his spare time, Dave enjoys martial arts and astronomy.

HEATHER RICHER, CMO, RedAwning

Heather Richer is Chief Marketing Officer for RedAwning.com, the world’s largest branded network of vacation rental properties. She joined the company in 2018 after almost 16 years with Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants where she left as Vice President of Revenue Management and Distribution. As part of RedAwning’s executive team, she is leading the company through rapid international and national expansion of its property portfolio, and continuing RedAwning’s drive to bring the trust, ease and convenience of hotel-style booking and services to the largest single network of vacation homes and apartments worldwide.

At Kimpton, Richer managed revenue, digital distribution and channel partners, customer service and call center functions, analytics, and overall brand strategy and performance management. Richer joined Kimpton Hotels fifteen years ago starting her career in Chicago, then moving to Washington DC holding regional positions overseeing the central and east coast portfolio, and over the last four years she has held the position of VP of Revenue Management and Distribution based in San Francisco. In addition to serving on the HSMAI Revenue Management Advisory Board, she also holds her Master’s Degree in Tourism Administration from the George Washington University School of Business.

DAN SKODOL, Vice President, Revenue Analytics, Rainmaker

Dan Skodol is Vice President of Revenue Analytics at Rainmaker. Dan came to Rainmaker with over ten years of revenue management experience in gaming, hotels, multifamily real estate and airlines. He is responsible for data science, product research, and thought leadership.

Dan previously held Director of Revenue Management roles for two casino organizations in Atlantic City and Archstone Communities. He holds a BA from Yale University and a Master of Management in Hospitality from Cornell. Dan and his wife reside in Denver, CO with their four-year-old son and enjoy skiing, cooking and travel.

YIRA SEGARRA, CRME, Senior Director, Group & Event Revenue Optimization, Loews Hotels & Co

In her role, Yira is responsible for leading the efforts to implement and advance Group, Event and Function Space Revenue Management across the Loews portfolio of hotels. She works closely with corporate and property level revenue management, conference and catering and sales leaders to create and execute the company’s strategy.

Most recently, she was recognized for those efforts with the 2017 HSMAI Americas Revenue Management Professional of the Year Award. A true progressive revenue management enthusiast, Yira has worked with major hospitality brands like Hilton, Omni and Wyndham.

LARA STABELL-GIBB, CRME, Corporate Director of Revenue Management, OTO Development

Lara, Corporate Director of Revenue Management for OTO Development LLC, based in Spartanburg, SC is a 30 year Hospitality industry veteran and Revenue Management Executive.
Lara’s experience includes brand expertise and certifications with Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Starwood, IHG and Choice Hotels, as well as luxury independent, select service and full service hotels throughout the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. Ms. Stabell-Gibb has extensive knowledge and experience in segmentation, pricing, revenue management systems, third party internet booking channels and guides OTO’s entire portfolio in all revenue management strategies.
Currently Lara is responsible for leading a team of 16 Regional/Area Directors of Revenue Management, as well as overseeing high profile assets for the OTO portfolio.
When Lara is not trying to gain share and solve the Revenue Management puzzle she is a passionate fan of all professional New York sports teams and an ardent fan of not liking any sports team from Boston.

DAN WACKSMAN, CHDM, Principal, Sassato, and current chair of HSMAI’s Marketing Advisory Board

With over 20 years of senior level experience in hotel marketing and travel distribution Dan Wacksman has recently launched a new company, Sassato, to help hotels and travel related businesses to improve their performance in marketing, distribution, technology and implementations. Prior to this Dan was Senior Vice President of Marketing and Distribution for Outrigger Hotels and Resorts. Previous roles include; Managing Director for GTA China and Regional Director for GTA Asia, where he had overall responsibility for offices throughout the region. General Manager of Aoyou.com, an Online Travel Agency based in Beijing and Director of Strategic Development for Travelport where he was involved in acquisitions and strategic initiatives. Dan currently serves as the chair for the HSMAI Marketing Advisory Board.

HOLLY ZOBA, CHDM, VP, Technology Resources, Hospitality Digital Marketing, and past chair of HSMAI’s Marketing Advisory Board

I spent the first 15 years of my career running hotels for Hospitality Partners and the last ten years developing programs to help hotels increase their sales through digital marketing and employee training at Signature Worldwide. I am also a full stack developer – MERN which means I can write both the front end and back end of a website, if I need to! Currently I am the co-chair of HSMAI Marketing Advisory Board where I get to meet regularly with the great marketing minds of the hospitality industry. In addition to designing the curriculum for Influencer Sales, I also researched and in some cases wrote the apps that we use in this class, which include things like Trello, Buzzsumo, and Adobe Spark. I am a frequent industry speaker and have authored several articles in industry publications.
